Abstract

The production of agro-industrial goods has presented an increase in its productive volume in recent years as a result of the high demand of the population and influenced by political, social, economic and environmental factors. This has, in turn, caused an increase in the waste generated by the agro-industry, having environmental consequences that may affect the quality of life of the individuals who inhabit it, leading organizations to adopt environmental policies in order to reduce their impact on the environment where they live. they develop. Due to this, it seeks to understand the environmental impact by describing the recovery and management of waste generated by agribusiness in Peru. For this, a documentary review was carried out to establish the sociocultural and historical context followed by a systematic description of the development of agroindustry. It was found that the increase in waste generation is related to the population increase and the fulfillment of the high demand for products. In the same way, the generation of waste occurs both in the production and in the commercialization of goods. Due to this, organizations must reduce their environmental impact by taking innovation in their processes to establish an efficient use of resources and manage waste generation.
